We have been busy here at the Family Cat (our family compound located in the old West Oakland Black Panther HQ.) We have been building, painting, silk screening, laying the decorative groundwork for ceremonies to come.  We have Disco Balls showing up at the door and the folks in the neighborhood are starting to wonder about the strange noises coming from the basement. We are explosions. Here’s the digs:

-No Sleep ‘Til Brooklyn: Trans Van Santos will be in the concrete and crowded confines of Williamsburg, Brooklyn for two magical evenings of stripped down psychedelic sing along’s and late night rooftop tom foolery (with Wildhawk and Pony Girl at his wings.)  If you are in New York and long for the free wheeling west of sharp shooters and eagle feathers, if you are looking for love in all the strong places… we are coming for to carry you home. We are the Galactic Trappers of the Future, shooting Big Apples off your head.

-MM returns to western skies for the debut of the Coyote & The Crosser Ceremony in San Francisco, CA on June 1st with Os Beaches and in Berkeley June 2nd with Trans Band, featuring former Jolie Holland alumns Dave Mihaly and Roger Riedlbaeur, Aaron Novik (whose spectacular new album, Secrets Of Secrets, is out on John Zorn’s Tzadik Records), long time Os Beaches bassist Joe Lewis, and the extraordinary Annie Girl.  These shows will be the first to feature the new props and signal a tecnicolor future.  Come with us.

We are readying the Family Folk Explosion Time Capsule For    The Future Myth!  We will be burying the Capsule up in the Mother Lode (that’s Gold Country to you flat-landers). We are holding a rock & roll ceremony in Twain Harte, CA during our Earth Day Get-Away weekend in which we will place the symbols, stories, songs, eagle feathers, medicine bundles, rhinestone belt buckles, the psychedelic seeds of our Future Myth, into a tightly sealed capsule and place in the ground, brothers and sisters!  We will be heading to Half Moon Bay to the legendary Old Princeton Landing (where Neil Young & Crazy Horse did that amazing secret residency as the Ducks, some 20 years back or so).  That show is on March 9th with some incredible special guests that we are going to announce real soon and we are recording the entire night for inclusion in the Time Capsule! So come on out, camp out by the beach with us and shout your voice into the Future!
